HAND WASH DISH TOWELS?

These dish towels have a very rough weave, which would be softened somewhat with washing and drying but the tag says HAND WASH ONLY. DO NOT BLEACH. DO NOT TUMBLE DRY.
<br>What?! I did not expect to hand wash and hang dry a dish towel!
